From any direction, make your way to Leigh on Sea train station. As you approach the station, follow the road to the long stay car park behind the station. This is the start of the Leigh Creak leading to Leigh Marshes, or Two Tree Island as it is known locally.
Go pass the car park, following the railway line, until you come to a sharp left hand bend. On your right is the golf driving range. Carry on over the bridge. On your left will be a car park. If this is just a visit it will be easier to park here & take a short walk over to us.
Opposite the car park is a small gate. Go through the gate & head to your left until you come to a road. Follow the road. Be aware of low flying, about 100-150ft, model aircraft. The aircraft do get lower from this point, 50-25ft by the time you approach the left hand bend in the road. Be extra careful walking the last 100ft of the road as the aircraft are at head height.
You may find that walking across the grass is less hazardous, but you will still hear & see model aircraft. There are warning signs all around the perimeter of the clubs flying area.
If you have your model with you, head pass the car park to the next gate. The lock code will be given to you when you join the club, but you can always park at the first car park then drive over when you have let somebody know that you want to visit. Head through, closing & locking the gate behind you please. Drive carefully, paying attention to the above about low flying aircraft. The car park is obvious. Find a space & introduce yourself.
Please remember that the road intersects the final approach to the field so vigilance is paramount. Give way to approaching aircraft, where applicable, & please drive safely.
